Scuba Diving or Snorkeling with Graceful Sea Turtles

Joyce is spot on with her comment. Turtles are a symbol of wisdom and are an endangered species.
While I’ve scuba’ed in the Caribbean, I’ve never visited USVI, famous for delicious looking white sandy beaches. Green and Hawksbill turtles are found there and it’s a nesting location for them as well. We know Joyce’s photo is a Green Turtle, because it doesn’t have a bill like a Hawksbill turtle. When underwater, you can observe sea turtles eating grasses and often flying up to the surface to grab a drink of air (they are swimming but they look like they are flying), and then beautifully descending again. Sometimes when we’re lucky, they will come close and check us out.
